About Course

Format: Hybrid (live sessions + guided labs + project)
Total Duration: ~210 hours (6-month course)
Access Included: Hudl Sportscode (training access) + dedicated support staff to guide your workflow
Course Comparison: CAF A for Coaches, CODE for Analysts

Who it’s for

Analysts, opposition scouts and coaches who want to run a full Sportscode workflow, from building code windows to live capture, scripting, data/video integration and match-day delivery.

What you’ll be able to do

  • Build custom code windows mapped to your game model.

  • Capture, code, and live-tag multi-angle video with consistent reliability.

  • Turn raw timelines into playlists, matrices, and scripted outputs that answer coach questions.

  • Design and run match-day workflows, from bench feedback to post-match packs.

  • Create a repeatable data strategy (benchmarks, profiles, storage, backups, naming).

  • Deliver professional opposition and performance reports with evidence-linked video.

Course Structure

Module 1 – Foundations & First Delivery (60 Hours)

  • Introduction & Getting started (setup, licensing, preferences, libraries)

  • Timeline basics (filters, sorting, selections, clipping)

  • Generating your own analysis (from tags to timelines to playlists)

  • Planning your code window (KPIs, phases, set-plays, label design)

  • Code window features (activation rules, durations, hotkeys)

  • Customizing your code window (templates, versioning, reliability)

  • Analyzing games (from one half to full-match workflow)

  • Preparing to deliver your analysis (export, share, meeting flow)

  • Summary & Review → Module Completion & Exit

Assessment: Starter code window (.scpkg) + 8–12 clip playlist answering a coach question.

Module 2 – Advanced Workflows & Scripting Basics (70 Hours)

  • Implementation & Introduction (embedding your template in weekly ops)

  • Custom code window design (role-specific, unit-specific variants)

  • Feedback loops (coach questions → tagging schema → delivery)

  • Advanced playlist features (stacking angles, text overlays, order logic)

  • Database profiles & benchmarks (player/team profiles, thresholds)

  • Data & Video (CSV ↔ timeline, matrix queries, combining sources)

  • Intro to Scripting → Efficient Scripting (automation for labels/outputs)

  • Introduction to Live analysis (roles, comms, reliability checks)

  • Module summary & review → Completion & Exit

Assessment: Advanced code window + matrix/playlist pack + short script (automation of a repetitive step).

Module 3 –  Live Match-Day & Advanced Scripting (80 Hours)

  • Introduction

  • Live match-day workflows (capture paths, redundancy, bench/Replay flow)

  • Sharing & distributing workflows (club cloud, WhatsApp/Drive, naming SOPs)

  • Advancing your scripting (query logic, conditional outputs)

  • Coding workflows powered by scripting (auto-tags, batch actions)

  • Data strategy (storage architecture, backups, retention, security)

  • Module summary & review → Completion & Exit

Capstone: Full opposition analysis project: custom code window, live or simulated tagging, matrices, scripted outputs, and a coach-ready report (10–15 slides + playlists). 1:1 viva (15–20 min).
